Phillies Opening Night...

Ryan and I were glad to break out our Phillie jersey's this year after last year's excited World Series Championship. However, it looks like mine will only be fitting me a few more weeks :) It was a disappointing night due to the loss but there is a hundred and sixty some games left. Some of which we will be able to enjoy with our little Philly Phanatic in its very own Philadelphia Phillies attire. All we need for the little Philly is a baseball cap and its very own original Philly Phanatic stuffed animal :)

The night ended on a strange note...with snow. Ryan had to take Isis out in the middle of the night, because she is crazy and refused to go outside when we went to bed because it was raining. When he returned to bed he said, "Katherine wake-up, we have 3 inches of snow on the ground." Of course he claims I called him a liar and rolled over and went back to sleep. Well come to find out there really was 3 inches of snow when I woke up plus more on its way. The picture of our yard doesn't do it justice but you can tell the amount of rain/snow we have gotten by how full our pool is.

25 weeks and counting...

So I might not be to good at this blog thing. Sorry I haven't been keeping up-to-date with it. Until this week we both have been extremely busy. Census has been high at the hospital and Ryan has had multiple baseball games during the week. I will try to stay up on it better in the future and I promise I will have pictures to come. I went to add them to the computer and our battery was dead so check back in a couple of days!

The Shockey household has been on hold the past few days. I have stayed home with the stomach flu, which has practically driven me crazy. I am feeling much better today and got out of the house for awhile and worked on some laundry...yes even some baby laundry.

Since this is my first time I want to make sure that we have everything ready and in its spot before the baby comes home. So today I decided to take some tags of the plain white onsies I got for a bargin and put them in the wash. Now they are resting in their home in the second drawer of the babies chest of drawers. I might be a little crazy when it comes to being prepared :)

Last Friday we went to the doctor for our 24 week routine check-up. Everything is looking great. My belly is measuring 23.5cm (supposed to be close to the week of pregnancy you are in) so we are good there. Baby Shock's heartrate was in the 150's so as the old wive's tale goes it is still a girl :) My next appointment will be 4/27 which will be at 28 weeks. At this appointment I will have another ultrasound to check size and placement and labs!!
